Leg Press Lunacy! by VPX Sports

For building big, thick, tree-trunk thighs, it is hard to beat the effectiveness of the leg press. Yes, I know, most people say that the Squat is the king of thigh builders. However, the leg press is certainly a close second, and for some has proven to be even better than the squat. Most of the leg mass I have personally achieved has been through the leg press, as I am not a big fan of squats. Is this because I am lazy and don’t want to face the great demands of the squat? Certainly not! After years of squatting I just was not satisfied with the results they were producing, so I switched to some very heavy leg pressing, and like magic, my thigh mass took off! The great thing about the leg press is variety of ways you can attack the thighs on it. By placing your feet differently on the platform you can shift the emphasis from outer thigh to inner thigh, or to lower thigh or even the hamstrings and glutes! The following is a total-thigh-blast done entirely on the leg press. It will fry your thighs from every angle and will leave you walking funny for a few days! But best of all, it will lead to some awesome thigh growth! Enjoy your pain!

1. Leg Press (feet about 6 inches apart at mid-platform, pointed straight ahead)…2 x 6-8

2. Leg Press (feet at shoulder width at mid-platform, pointed outward)…2 x 8-10

3. Leg Press (feet at about a foot apart toward the bottom of the platform, pointed straight ahead)…2 x 10-12

4. Leg Press (feet at about a foot apart toward the top of the platform, pointed slightly outward)…2 x 12-15

Try this all-leg press routine at your next workout and see how amazingly well it pumps up your entire thigh and leaves you sore as can be for a few days following. If you find it works well, perhaps it is a program you can use at every other leg workout.
