SAMe (S-adenosyl-L-methionine) is an enzymatic reaction of methionine, a sulfur-containing amino acid and adenosine triphosphate (ATP), the body's main energy molecule. SAMe occurs naturally in humans and is involved in over forty biochemical reaction in the body. Unfortunately SAMe levels decline with age.
