Why is my credit card being declined? Here are the most common problems and solutions for making purchases with credit cards.
- Problem: There is a problem with the credit card you are using and it has been declined from your credit card company.
- Solution: Call the customer service number located on the back of the credit card to see what the issue with that particular card is.
- Problem: Your card is fine, but you are still receiving a declined.
- Solution: Check to make sure that you are entering the information on your credit card correctly. Make sure that when you enter the credit card numbers, that you use the numbers only. Do not include any spaces or dashes. The CVV number must be also be correct.
- Problem: You double checked all your numbers and you are still receiving a declined.
- Solution: Make sure that the billing address information that you enter is the correct information that is on file with your credit card company. This is usually your home address. If you are unsure, you may call the customer service number located on the back of the card and speak to a representative to verify this information.
- Problem: You have checked with your credit card company and your card is fine. You have double checked the credit card numbers, expiration date and CVV numbers and they were entered correctly. You have made sure that the billing address is the same as the one that is on file with your credit card and still you are receiving a declined?
